Originally from Giresun, Hüseyin Yücel was born on August 11, 1982 in Istanbul.

After graduating from Saint Benoit High School, he went to France and completed his undergraduate education in the economics and business administration departments of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

After graduating from university in 2005, Yücel returned to Türkiye and worked in various departments and positions in the family companies. In 2011, he became the Chairman of the Executive Board of Bahçeşehir College and Uğur Schools.

In 2017, he founded the Bahçeşehir College Sports Club Basketball Team with the aim of making students love sports, which he sees as an inseparable part of education. The team, of which he is the president, made it to the Super League in its first year. In 2022, he won the FIBA ​​Europe Cup Championship.

Hüseyin Yücel, who is also closely interested in football, served as a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President at Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club in the 2018-19 season.

In 2022, Yücel was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahçeşehir University.

Yücel, a father of two, speaks English and French.
